3. Once you have found a club you like the look of, arrange to have a few taster sessions. This would normally be arranged by one of the club coaches.

4. If you decide that bowls is for you, speak to one of the officers at the club, get them to tell you how the club operates. Ask about formal coaching.
5. Most clubs have spare sets of bowls that you can borrow, whilst you decide what size & what type will suit you, before you purchase a set.
