SCBA Benevolent Fund
What is it’s Aim?
The Benevolent Fund is a charitable fund which exists solely to help Surrey bowlers (who are or have been affiliated members of the Surrey County Bowling Association) and/or their dependents who from age, illness, infirmity or any other cause are impoverished or in distressed financial circumstances.
The Benevolent Fund has funds to help in these cases and the Trustees hope that this will encourage Clubs or individuals to apply for grants which can be considered at any time.
How does it Help?
The Trustees appeal to Clubs to examine their membership past and present to see if there is anyone (or their dependents) who could be helped.
The Trustees are discrete and information is kept within the Charity.
To preserve the confidentiality of an applicant a Trustee can arrange to visit to discuss the claim.
How do we apply?
Applications for help can be made through Clubs or direct to the Secretary or Treasurer.
